Highfield Level 4 Leading Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Qualification - Single unit

This qualification is ideal for experienced Internal Quality Assurers (IQA) who are now responsible for other IQAs and undertaking a leadership role. Gaining this qualification will demonstrate your ability to organise and prioritise IQA responsibilities and workloads.  This is an excellent CPD opportunity to demonstrate your skills, knowledge and ability to take on a leadership quality assurance role with your organisation or to look for further career progression.

Best for Training’s single unit ‘Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility’ is designed for those who have already achieved their Level 4 Award in the IQA of Assessment Processes and Practice. This additional single unit will enable you to achieve the full qualification: Highfield Level 4 Leading Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

You must be able to evidence that you lead a team and plan, allocate and monitor work.

You will need to provide us with evidence of

• Unit 1 Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment
• Unit 2 Internally assure the quality of assessment

then we will be able to use as Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) and claim your full  Level 4 Leading IQA certificate.

The additional unit title is: Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility

Learning outcomes:

1. Be able to produce a work plan for own area of responsibility
2. Be able to allocate and agree responsibilities with team members
3. Be able to monitor the progress and quality of work in own area of responsibility and provide feedback
4. Be able to review and amend plans of work for own area of responsibility and communicate changes

You will be allocated a named assessor who is an experienced IQA. They will guide you through the qualification, providing you with support and help to be successful. You must be working in the role as a lead IQA and you will be able to use your work products and evidence towards this qualification. This will be supplemented by an observation of your practice, carried out by your assessor, this is included in your course fee.  Finally, you may be required to complete reflective accounts and a question and answer session to fully meet all assessment criteria and successfully complete your qualification.

The course is for 3 months from enrolment, although many learners complete earlier.

You will be allocated a named assessor who will provide you with unlimited online support throughout the qualification. You will have a face to face online induction with your assessor to plan your first steps and answer any questions you may have. Further tutorials can be arranged with your assessor, either face to face, online or via telephone, as required.

This qualification is the first unit in the full EQA qualification required by Awarding Organisation to undertake the role of a External Quality Assurer (EQA). By gaining this knowledge qualification, you will be taking the first steps towards this role. It is also excellent CPD for any IQA who want to ensure their organisation’s is fully prepare for the External Quality Assurance visits.
