Highfield Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

This qualification is ideal for experienced Internal Quality Assurers (IQA) who are now responsible for other IQAs and undertaking a leadership role. Gaining this qualification will demonstrate your ability to organise and prioritise IQA responsibilities and workloads.  This is an excellent CPD opportunity to demonstrate your skills, knowledge and ability to take on a leadership quality assurance role within your organisation or to look for further career progression.

Best for Training’s single unit qualification model is designed for those who have already achieved their Level 4 Award in the IQA of Assessment Processes and Practice. This additional single unit will enable you to achieve the full qualification: Highfield Level 4 Leading Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

You must be able to evidence that you lead a team of at least two IQAs and plan, allocate and monitor their work.

You will need to provide us with certification evidence of your IQA qualification; we will be able to use as Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) and claim your full Level 4 Leading IQA certificate on successful completion of the additional unit.

The additional unit title is: Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility

Learning outcomes:

1. Be able to produce a work plan for own area of responsibility
2. Be able to allocate and agree responsibilities with team members
3. Be able to monitor the progress and quality of work in own area of responsibility and provide feedback
4. Be able to review and amend plans of work for own area of responsibility and communicate changes

When you enrol with us, you will be allocated an experienced, named assessor who will provide you with unlimited online support throughout the qualification. You will provide your assessor with your IQA certificate so RPL can be claimed for units 1 and 2.

Unit 3 assessment

• direct observation –  you will be observed working with your IQAs by your tutor or a suitable person in your workplace
• IQA records from your two IQAs (evidence of supporting IQAs, sampling plans, IQA reports and standardisation)
• additional work product evidence, as required by your tutor, for example, emails, reflective accounts, minutes of meetings
• detailed reflective account evidencing your leadership and organisational skills.

You will have 3 months from enrolment to complete the qualification, although you may complete earlier.

You will be allocated a named assessor who will provide you with unlimited online support throughout the qualification. You will have a face to face online induction with your assessor to plan your first steps and answer any questions you may have. Further tutorials can be arranged with your assessor, either face to face, online or via telephone, as required.

On successful completion of this qualification, you may wish to consider the Highfield Level 4 Award In Understanding the External Quality Assurance (EQA) of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF)

This qualification is the first unit in the full EQA qualification required by Awarding Organisation to undertake the role of a External Quality Assurer (EQA). By gaining this knowledge qualification, you will be taking the first steps towards this role. It is also excellent CPD for any IQA who want to ensure their organisation’s is fully prepare for the External Quality Assurance visits.
