Highfield Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) 5 Day taught group programme

Our 5 day taught Highfield Level 3 Award in Education and Training is the ideal course for anyone who wants to gain recognised qualification in teaching and training. It’s the preferred qualification for those new to the teaching role in post-compulsory education. It is a useful CPD qualification for anyone who as training as part of their wider job role. It may also be of interest to qualified assessors who wish to gain a recognised teaching qualification.

The units include:

• Unit 1 – Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
• Unit 2 – Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
• Unit 3 – Understanding assessment in education and training

This is a full time one week programme (Monday to Friday) for a minimum of 8 learners, taught onsite at your workplace or training venue. Learners will spend the day with our trainer (usually 9am – 3pm) and be set 1-2 hours homework in the afternoon for independent study. Learners will be set an assignment each afternoon, which will be marked the following day. On the final day of the course, all learners will complete their micro teach with their trainer.  All learners will be issued with the course textbook, worth £20, to support them in their independent study.  The course is completed in one week.

The course will be delivered in 5 days at your place of work. At the end of the 5 days, staff will have fully completed the training required and will have completed their micro teach. Staff will be set work at the end of every taught session that must be completed by the start of the next session, this will take approximately 1-2 hours. Many organisations choose to run this course Monday to Friday, with the aim of all successful learners achieving their qualification by the end of the week.
