Supporting refugees – CPD for counsellors

Best for Training are delighted to be working in collaboration with The Children’s Society to deliver this CPD workshop.

This training will give an overview of some of the difficulties refugees and migrants might experience, such as age disputes and regularising their status, and how these difficulties can have an impact on their mental health. It will also briefly look at the complex trauma that many refugees and migrants have experienced, and how to safely navigate this within counselling. It will give you some guidelines as to how to possibly build a therapeutic relationship with clients who might not be familiar with the way we practice counselling in England. It will support you to be more confident in dealing with the challenges presented.

This training will count towards 2 hours of the CPD requirements of practicing counsellors. Trainee counsellors are always welcome too at our CPD events.

Our CPD workshops are incredibly popular and spaces are strictly limited. Please book now to secure your place.

The CPD training is for 2 hours.

The price includes:

  • Highly qualified trainer and counsellor
  • CPD certificate providing evidence of course content and CPD hours
