Working with clients experiencing domestic abuse – CPD for counsellors

This CPD workshop will explore the cycle of domestic abuse that some clients might feel ‘stuck’ in and that we can encounter when providing counselling to clients. It is also important to consider the dynamic of re-victimisation which can leave our clients feeling disempowered by their relationship dynamics and getting stuck in a cycle of not leaving. Domestic abuse grates on the identity of people, which can make it very difficult for our clients to figure out what is best for them. This CPD will provide some guidelines around working with this complex process.

This training will count towards 2 hours of the CPD requirements of practicing counsellors. Trainee counsellors are always welcome too at our CPD events.

Our CPD workshops are incredibly popular and spaces are strictly limited. Please book now to secure your place.

The CPD training is for 2 hours.

The price includes:

  • Highly qualified trainer and counsellor
  • CPD certificate providing evidence of course content and CPD hours
