CPD unaccredited End Point Assessment Training for your staff – Bespoke

New Hot

The changes from frameworks to standards has raised many challenges and questions for those working with apprentices. Best for Training are working with many apprenticeship training providers to inform their staff of the major changes, how this impacts on their apprentices and staff roles and responsibilities.  By completing the 1 day CPD training in the new apprenticeship standards and End Point Assessment, you are providing your staff with excellent, relevant continuous professional development which will benefit your organisation, staff and apprentices.

We will deliver this training event for your staff in your own organisation. We would be happy to accommodate up 25 people in one group so if you would like to offer this training event to other local colleges and training providers then this would be an excellent opportunity for them and also enable your staff to share practice and experiences of the new standards with others. The programme can be adapted to meet the specific standards that organisation delivers, please email for further details.

The training day begins with an overview of standards and assessment plans; ensuring all staff fully understand the importance of these documents, their content and how this applies to the apprentices learning journey. We look at the importance of Gateway and relationships with employers to ensure apprentices are fully prepared for their End Point Assessment. We then move onto look at the assessment methods used in End Point Assessment, how these are applied in practice to enable staff to fully understand how to prepare their own apprentices for their EPA.

Our training is designed by former Ofsted inspectors and throughout the day helpful hints and tips are shared with staff to help them understand the Ofsted requirements and the best practice expected from apprenticeship providers.

Learning outcomes:

  1. Examine new Apprenticeship Standards and Assessment Plans
  2. Plan effectively for Gateway with employer
  3. Clarify the importance of Initial Assessment
  4. Recognise the use of assessment plans in planning the apprenticeship programme
  5. Identify the requirements of End Point Assessment

The price includes:

  • Highly qualified tutors who are Independent EPA Assessors and also EPA IQA’s
  • Taught session
  • Course materials
  •  PDF CPD certificates, detailing learning outcomes covered, will be emailed to delegates .

Sam Sutton and Anne Horn are both IQA’s and Independent End Point Assessors for a number of large End Point Assessment organisations and have been involved in the pilot implementation of EPA assessments for the new Apprenticeship standards.  They are highly experienced and knowledgeable in the changes within the apprenticeship sector and have received incredible feedback from delegates attending this training.

The training has been designed by Sam and Anne who have many years of experience successfully delivering apprenticeships and delivering high quality training. They also deliver Assessor, Internal Quality Assurance qualifications and Initial Teacher Training.  They write resources for Awarding Organisations and are External Quality Assurers. As former Ofsted Inspectors, Sam and Anne also provide consultancy services to colleges and apprenticeship training providers to prepare for Ofsted inspections and monitoring visits.
